The other day, I'm in Whole Foods getting some General Tso's tofu for my lunch (if you have not had it and you like tofu, this is great stuff) Anyway, I take my tofu and vegan cookies to the register. On the way to the register, I wanted to have my card ready. I wanted to use my PayPal card so I grabbed it and proceeded to the register. My stuff came to nine dollars and some change. 'Credit' I told the cashier, swiped my card...the screen says...'NOT APPROVED' in nice bold print..."Excuse me!" I said rather shocked. Embarrassed, I have about 108.00 in my pocket- not enough in singles to cover the 9.00, so I had to break the hundred I had and I put the card in my back pocket. The cashier was very nice, but I was still embarrassed.
This morning as I was getting ready for work, I was clearing out my pockets and I pulled what I thought was my PayPal card out and I looked again and began to crack up...I had attempted to pay for my tofu with my PayFlex card that I use for my flexible spending account! I guess the machine was right!
